...and told me that my car was released from the port of Long Beach yesterday and should be on a truck and headed to San Francisco today or tomorrow. Looks like I may have it this weekend! YAY. I wanna say that Sammy Lee at San Francisco Toyota is a great guy. We first met him when we bought our Highlander last fall, so when it was time to get a Prius, there was no question who we wanted to deal with. He is VERY knowledgeable about every little detail of the car. We spent several hours with him driving a Prius around SF last weekend and just can't say enough about this guy. Thanks Sammy!
PICS!!! I need pics!!! (That will be my fix to get me through a few moments of my excruciatingly long wait for mine to arrive).
"...and told me that my car was released from the port of Long Beach yesterday and should be on a truck and headed to San Francisco today or tomorrow." At least in the case of the PHEV, ships that come to Long Beach stop in SF first, at Benicia. So either Sammy is unaware of that fact, is BSing you, or somebody forgot to offload your car at the closest port. Or maybe they only follow the route I described for the PHEV? In any case, enjoy your new car!
Spent most of the day reading the owners manual and learning about all the gadgets on the car. LOVE the dynamic radar cruise control! Used it on the way home from the dealer. Very cool. Got Entune all set up and updated the apps. Transferred my Sirius acct to XM and set up all the station presets. Love the color. My commute will be so enjoyable!!!
