Took it to the dealership for the 95k service, $19.95 before taxes for tire rotation. They tell me that both filters need replacement, I laughed and said that was done at the 90k service. They checked and said I was correct. It was a leftover recommendation from the 85k service. Then they recommend cleaning engine carbon deposits for $164. I said no. Maybe next time (is this something that is needed or that is common? I asked about the 100k service. Said it involved flushing the coolants and maybe some other things, perhaps $260ish! Is that necessary? None of this is in the recommended service by Toyota!
No, follow the manual. If c has egr, that should be cleaned. Maybe consider tranny fluid. There will be compete fluid replacement coming, not cheap
Exhaust gas recirculating, see nutzaboutbolts YouTube channel. Maintenance schedule should show coolants and brake fluid at 120k?
Initial engine coolant replacement at 100,000 miles/120 months. Replace every 50,000 miles/60 months thereafter. Initial inverter coolant replacement at 150,000 miles/180 months. Replace every 50,000 miles/60 months thereafter.
at 120K: Replace Engine Oil And Oil Filter Replace Spark Plugs Replace Engine Air Filter Replace Cabin Air Filter (If Equipped)
Sounds like you're on top of it. One comment: I would revise all these filter "changes" to "inspections", do them yourself, and only replace filters as warranted.
