I got talked into a super special package at the car wash. They put some kind of very shiny polish all ovr the dashboard. The glare in sunny weather is terrible. Any suggestions on deglossing it? Thanks

Yes. Use some Dawn (dilluted) with a sponge and scrub it out, make sure it is very clean. Ensure that all the detergent has been removed so use an amount of Dawn that cleans but does not leave a film. Rinse thoroughly, get it dry. If it's really shiny it's probly a silicone-based product so think along those lines. Not just to randomly apply something but, after the cleaning and complete drying you'll need to protect it. Something like Aerospace 303 or Car Pro PERL will do nicely.
