in cyl 7 and 9. I can't figure it out, the injectors work, the glow plugs work, compression is good, and the valves check out... oil pressure is good and coolant fails the compression leak test...I'm at a loss. any ideas?
there is a chemical you put in the coolant, run the engine, pull some coolant out and put it in a tester, hold it up to the light, and it tells you if your head gasket is bad. this engine failed to register any brown (carbon monoxide in the antifreeze) so its head gasket is good. pulling head now, I'm fixing this bitch today.
the grand canyon relocated to the inside of this engine, lol there is a MASSIVE crack between the 2 cylinders, I can run feeler guages from top to bottom in it. its been running on this for quite some time.
I assume you mean in the block between the wet liners? That sux. Is the 12v71 powering your hearse? If so we need pictures.
yes, both cylinders. nope, have a stage 2 caddy 500 motor in the hearse. however a 6v71 or 6v53 would raise the badassery to a whole new level
