I wanted to add yet another testimonial about how great it was to purchase through Dianne Whitmire at Manhattan Beach Toyota. Long story short - I had a 2010 Prius for just over a year that was declared a total loss. Suffice it to say, that car did what it was supposed to and protected me very well; it took the all the force and unfortunately the damage was just too great to make it worth repair for the insurance co. I wanted to replace the vehicle and Dianne was able to beat everyone's price by a good bit. This was accomplished with a simple email and phone call, no haggling, no discussion, just a price offered up front that was unbeatable by any other dealer (my previous dealer didn't even try to match it - they just came back with an argument of why their price would not move). Sticker and invoice cost on these had risen since I purchased last year, but that was overcome by Dianne's pricing. She also made the process super fast and easy. When I got there, it only took barely an hour total - to close with finance, have her walk me through the vehicle and she even paired my phone for me. Even the nice Toyota attache for manuals and docs was a surprise to me, I didin't even get that at the previous dealer. There were no unwanted extras, dealer add ons, or any other of the common profit additives that most dealers mess with. Just the vehicle, a great price, and super fast closing. I always wondered why car buying was not straight forward and I finally found a person and place that it can be through Dianne. I am happily in a new 2010 Base III, with a super low rate (current Toyota Finance incentive), nothing unwanted, and now I get to enjoy bluetooth and a better audio system (my lost car was a 2010 base II, but because of Dianne's pricing and the financing deal it was almost an even trade up to get into the III). (One thing I will say helped in my situation is that this car is holding a strong value. The insurance payout was higher than I had expected coming in right at 20K for a base II with 15K miles). If you can, do your deal with Dianne. So many of us wonder how to go about getting the best deal and treatment when buying a new car - with the Prius there doesn't have to be any wondering, just call her and know you are doing the best possible in a deal - I have done TONS of research on this when I bought the first one and now again; the other posters praising her here are right - I could not be more satisfied.
OK, so who's Dianne's counterpart here on the East Coast? In the Boston area? Bernardi Toyota in Framingham has been recommended, but I'm afraid Dianne is nonpareil!
