It's that time. The Priuschat program for Preferred Dealer on Rav4 EV is here! I am taking orders, these cars are pretty monospec with just three color choices available. Check in with me thru eMail at my email address below. YES to the Priuschat $500 discount; there are only about 2500 cars available in CA. I have some photos and spec sheet. And, loads of Prius Expert enthusiasm to go with it!! What a truly fantastic car. Dianne
OOooooohhhhh - I'm gona see if I can get 'she-who-must-be-obeyed' to go back down to Carson and check it out. Dianne, by any chance will you have a demo?
Yes, I will have a demo soon. I hope in about three weeks. I'm trying to research a different charging station ASAP - moving away from Leviton and using a different kind. I am SO pissed at Leviton right now.... words cannot describe. Our charging station's been down for THREE WEEKS now. God help buyers who have this EV as their only car and need their help with a broken Leviton box. Their customer service does not rock ... and their replacement boxes are all bad (three so far). And, just GETTING things done as far as troubleshooting was a huge pain to begin with. Ya hearing me, Leviton? You're in my crosshairs but you were warned.
Dianne, has anyone outside CA ordered this car? What about service? Should someone in NY want to buy one, can he go to any dealer to get EV issues addressed?
of course not that's why they only sell them in California. Think about it logically. If you were a manufacturer would you spend untold dollars to train EV specialists in every state - when your product only cells in 1 state? That would be insanity. So no - out of staters can expect to have to use a flatbed back to California for warranty service. It'll be Just like back when the genI RAV 4 EV sold in a handful of areas. Those were the only few places where you could get them fixed. SGH-I717R ? 2
Well thinking about it, Most Toyota dealer have techs trained in working on electric vehicles such as the Prius/PiP, so they might be able to work on Tesla systems as well. Probably not, but I like to be 100% sure, not 99.999%
