While conservatives, myself included, hoped that ABC would fire Rosie for her controversial and reckless statements, she was drawing in more and more viewers for a TV show that was floundering. I suspect the truth is that Rosie was asking for far more than The View was willing to pay her, and she is positioning herself for another show of her own. She will be able to set very lucrative terms for her on the new show, and even if it bombs, she would be set for life.
