I just went to test drive a 2007 Gen2. I have owned three of these in the past and am used to the screen and how it looks. I got in this one and all the info was correct but the screen looked like an early computer knockoff version. It had a choice of four colors (vs the two I'm used to) and the graphics were really elementary compared to the usual. Anyone ever heard of this? Were there options for the screen? Well actually the screen looks identical, it's really the software thats different. Odd.
Yes, for 2006-2009, there were two versions of the MFD. Vehicles without the backup camera used the old version from 2004/2005 (4 colours - beige, blue, green, grey) Vehicles with a backup camera had the higher resolution version with green/orange as the colour choices.
