Does anyone discharge or run down their hv battery before working on it in order to reduce the risks or do you just pull the orange plug and do what you need to?
A traction battery discharged to the lowest voltage that safe for the battery will still be potentially deadly for the person who gets across its output terminals. Pull the plug and use standard electrical safety procedures.
