In browsing forums, I'm used to a mode that allows me to see what message the reply applies to. For example, in this display format, I can tell that user 4 is replying to user 3 and not directly to the OP (though hopefully on subject). Thread header from OP Reply #1 from user 1 Reply #1 from user 2 Reply #1 from user 3 Reply #1 from user 4 Reply #1 from user 5 Reply #2 from user 1 Reply #2 from user 2 etc Is such possible? When someone replies and doesn't quote the post they are replying to, I can't seem to find a way to see the replier's intent.
And of course the careful indents I used in the original posting here to show how the thread evolved (in a way typical in my 15 year experience with many forums) were expunged in the display of the original posting.
