DIY with Toyota Care still active

    Hey guys,

    Since Toyota Care allows for free service up to 2 years / 25k miles, I thought to see if the dealer would just issue me the oil, filter, and gasket for free for 10k and 20k services when the time comes. Has anyone tried to pull that off yet? :D

    I don't trust auto shops in general and especially after reading other people's horror stories. I'd rather let them inspect the car and would change the oil and filter myself.

    It may depend on the dealer, but the service department would have to generate a repair order to get reimbursed from Toyota.
