Just got a new cat. It is not a kitten, but several years old. She doesn't like cars, but she seems to like the Prius when it running electrric mode! I can tell by the drop in the meows! Actually she complained nonstop while in a cat carrier! But I got a net to hold her in the back hatch area. And now she is silent when car is going electric, and a bit less noisy when engine runs. Only really bad on curvy windy roads. The lower hatch window seems just made for her to look out of too!
Pewter likes (or liked) to ride in the back so she could look out one of the rear triangle windows (wish I had taken a picture). There's a feral we named Faidre who likes to lay on the roof. Sometimes I go out and see kitty tracks going down the windshield and the hood.
I don't know if the feline species are for or against the Prius - but it would appear that Cat Owners sure do love the car...judging by the amount of cat avatars on this board.
