Just bought a used 2005 prius with, I beleve, the advance tech package (nav, bluetooth, leather, CD changer). I notice the headlights are whiter than most other cars on the road. Do HID lights come standard, or do I just have a hi color temp quartz? Thanks!!!!
Thanks for the replies. A couple of followups: 1) Is there a replacement bulb or combo bulb/ballast kit that would give me brighter beams? I commute 30 miles at night through country, deer-in-the-road, minor roads. Every lumen I can coax out of my car, the more secure both the deer and I feel. 2) Yes, I have fog lights. I can't figure out how to turn the suckers on, though.
the outer ring is headlights, the inner ring is foglights (Normally this stalk is attached to your steering column)

Another thing one will notice w/the HIDs (if you have them), is if you turn the high beams on/off, a portion of the mechanism behind the lens moves forward or back. There isn't a 2nd set of lights (high beams) that turns on/off. My Z and my former 02 Maxima had a set of halogen high beams that'd turn on/off with the HIDs staying on, the whole time.
