Going tomorrow to look at a 2013 Prius 3 with solar roof and 4800(!) CarFax verified miles. It is at a dealer and Toyota Certified and the ask is $18k. When it was new it was a $28k car, and even with the current deep discounts a 2015 with the same equipment is about $22k.
4 grande for 2 years and 5,000 miles? have to wonder why mileage is so low. i would spend the 22k, but 18k is a decent deal if the savings is important. you can bet they gave someone 13k for that car.
This dealer tends to have low-mileage Prii quite often. They are in a well-known retirement city, where people don't drive much.
Obviously it's a good deal, assuming there is not some hidden "ugly" reason the miles are so low. Prius can be owned....by people that simply did not drive them much. Assuming no accidents in it's history, perhaps my biggest concern might be Hybrid Battery condition. This vehicle has sat a lot. But...even then you would still be under warranty, and if it was driven "enough" you might be fine. The 12 volt battery also would be something I'd want checked.
