I updated the app thinking it would help and now it doesn't even recogize my email account. I would like to have access to the older version that worked for 2007 and my 2008 Prius.

or is there another way to get this fixed? by contacting Autel support maybe?

    thanks.

What exactly are you talking about The maxi app AP200 if that's what you're talking about You know you have to have the other $169 or 196 MB software download for Toyota are we talking about the AP200 or just the maxi app for which scanner are you using a tablet or an OBD2 Bluetooth by directional piece the white and red or the white thing Not sure what the problem is there was a problem for a few weeks where nothing above Android 12 would be recognized that's fixed I'm running it with Android 14 right now I just was using it an hour ago on my 2006 to 8 generation 2s so I'm not sure what you're not able to make happen.

The maxi app is not for a specific car or a specific Prius when you have the Prius or the Toyota 196 MB file loaded it covers prius's through I think 2015 at least my unit does I use my white AP200 on my 2005 through 2009 generation twos and on my 2010 through 2014 generation 3s without any problems I don't change any software download anything different nothing The Maxi app 200 and the 196 MB Toyota file that you choose when you pick your car which was a 2006 Prius that software works on the 2014 when you plug in the AP200 in your 2014 car it's going to recognize your car The VIN the year and everything and then when you start pushing buttons to do things it's going to do them Read the codes bleed the brakes etc set the linear valve offset so I'm not sure what's went wrong here.

If you have the maxi app 200 loaded on your phone then you should be able to log in with the email that you used when you signed up for your car when you bought the device If that changed and you can't remember and all that then you may need to call autel their customer support is hysterical. You should not be able to not log in once you've established an account and all that there's not a different account for each car is only a different account for each device.

I have the account on an old phone I specifically use for checking my Prius. As I started the app it asked me if I wanted to update it. I stupidly pressed OK and then after it updated it didn't recognize my login information or allow me check the OBD reader at all.

do you have the older version?

AP maxi 200 is what I am referring to. Its pretty cheap and the reader and downloading the codes cost me like only sixty dollars years ago. I did all downloads through google play app on android phone.

can you give me a link to the 196mb file? I think my file was originally 25mb

I just want the damn thing to work again and go back to the version that worked. I only have a 2007 and 2008 prius, I don't ever plan on buying later year models.

EDIT: I think autel wants me to re-register an email account after the download. my old email that worked isn't recognized so I'm going to try creating a new account. this is BS to be honest

    UPDATE:

Using my newer phone, Autel had me re-register the codereader so I had to create a new account, download the new app and register it as being a Toyota. It worked after doing.

Personally, i was fine with using my old phone and using that to read codes. Same way I'm OK with driving my 2007 & 2008 Prius while the world moves forward. I'm not interested in most things past 2012.

    thanks.

It has nothing to do with what you're interested in the app on your phone maybe 25 MB The app for Toyota is $196 MB look at it in your downloads and your AP200 and then there's a download for the e-reader that'll read codes on anything you plug it into Just OBD2 or one I guess and then for the bleeding the brakes and the linear valve offset that's all Toyota specific that comes from the $196 MB file residing on your phone and that will work on Prius at least through 2004 through 2015 doesn't matter which one you have If you registered as a 2006 Toyota generation 2 and you plug the scanner into a 2014 Prius 3 when the scanners plugged in it's going to read the Prius 3s VIN number and then do what you tell the scanner to do Read the codes bleed the brakes set the linear valve offset shut down and do nothing so yes all you had to do was create a new account and you're good I have my update was 3 months ago and it made anything above Android 12 not function so my white AP200 did not function for about 48 days then the company fixed their update and now my Google pixel phone running Android 14 runs the AP200 no problem It didn't for 48 days I didn't have to change emails or do anything my login's been the same since the update screwed up everything and then 48 days later when it was fixed my same login is working with the same software that's been sitting on the phone the whole 80 or so days or longer Glad you got it working.

    @Tombukt2

Thanks for your advice as usual. you have been very helpful in particular. I guess I have the P2138 tps code. Fortunately i have a junked 2007 Prius on my property that I use for spare parts for the other two cars. Any recommendations or advice.

here is a nice motivational tweet I came across today. Its actually kind of unbelievable but it does show the power of perseverence and luck.

(EDIT: Yesterday, I pulled the 12V battery out and recharged it. I think what happened is the throttle body sensor (TPS) is resetting itself after being unpowered....that's why I had to read the codes today. I guess I'll just give it more time or try to clean the manifold and reset it again.)

EDIT: Lord only knows how many uploads they get per minute nowadays. I read somewhere that Google makes now what they paid those two guys back then..... like every 10 days.

Try cleaning the throttle body (TB), especially around the throttle plate. Make sure the throat of the TB and the edges of the throttle plate are shiny and clean where they meet. It is not uncommon for a car to have problems starting, or for it to run rough after a battery disconnect, especially if the cleaning has not been done in a long while.

Once you The battery where it's supposed to be as in 12.5 to 7 volts and everything connected back up the code will probably clear and stay away If you think anything needs it obviously clean it clean the MAF and then run it

Error code P2138 indicates problems with the accelerator pedal. See manual.

More on that in this post, which also kind of explains why the code situation can be so confusing, with codes that look similar being really about two totally different sensors in totally different places on the car connected to totally different ECUs.
