I saw this issue in another thread. I have noticed this, and thought it strange. I don’t see the charging arrows in the display. Can someone using a Scangauge or OBDII answer this question?
When the engine is running, some electricity will indeed be generated and routed back to the battery-pack. That actually happens regardless of mode. It's a regular feature of the hybrid system.
