New problem. Just popped up a few minutes ago. Tried locking my doors from inside the Prius before going to bed like I've done a million times, but they won't stay locked. They all lock for a split second then unlock again. They were working fine last night. You can't lock your doors from inside using the fob (as fas as I know), so I always use the lock rocker switch on the door. Did I hit a switch/button somewhere that's preventing them from staying locked? My buddy is in his 2nd gen Prius parked directly in front of mine - nose to nose - but that shouldn't be an issue as we've parked like this countless times with no problem. So I don't think my car is sensing his fob or anything. Guesses?
That's what it'll do if they don't all make it to fully locked. My gen 1 started doing that when one of the lock actuators got weak enough that it couldn't fully get that door to lock. The car tells all the doors to lock and then notices one didn't fully make it, so it unlocks everything again so you'll notice. Are you positive all the doors are fully closed? What saith the door-ajar light? If you flip all the mechanical door locks to the locked (no orange showing) position first, then what happens when you use the lock rocker?
Thanks, Chapman! Figured it out! I'm a moron lol. One of the doors wasn't fully closed. And I didn't see the red indicator on the dash because I had my sun shade on the windshield for nighttime privacy. Appreciate ya buddy
