our 2004 prius was rear ended recently.. we got the bumper repainted and fixed, however we have a new problem: the door open light is on even when all doors are closed-we are assuming its a door sensor malfunction-has anyone else faced the same problem? is there any solution? suggestions?
May or may not be related. My driver's door switch started getting flakey early in the game and try as I might to clean it out, it kept being flakey. Finally I swapped it with one of the ones from a rear door, and it's been okay ever since. I think I even have a picture montage of it kicking around... yup: _ http://techno-fandom.org/~hobbit/cars/dcty-sw.jpg but check if it's the hatch switch, which may be related to the accident. That's down inside where the hatch latch loop comes down into the rear deck lip. . _H*
