I had to drive an hour away to another city with my 2005 Prius today. Shortly before I arrived I got a check engine light, red triangle light, and Hybrid System Warning Light (the car with the exclamation point in the middle.) I know I need to get it looked at as soon as possible, but I couldn't find anyone here to service it. How safe is it to drive the hour home with these lights? Since it is a battery-related issue should I refrain from turning on the radio while I drive? Thanks!
At the very least you should have somebody read the trouble code(s) off the OBD2 port. Then there would be at least some information to go on.
