I’ve got a 2019 Prius LE and run into a very peculiar problem that has happened 3 or 4x in the last 3 months… I leave the car ON and step outside the car and walk away maybe 40-50 ft, in these 3 or 4 instances (out of about 1000 - so 0.3% or 0.4%), the driver door just locks itself. No beep, it’s not central locking as I can get back in the car through all 3 other doors (talk about annoying!) Because the car is ON, pushing the remote doesn’t do anything. I get the door open by physically pulling the door latch from the inside. Anyone have this happen to them? I haven’t tested it but perhaps it has something to do with the “touch lock” area on the outside door handle? (which I assume is only supposed to be active when the car is powered OFF but maybe there’s a bug in the design?) I’m a bit puzzled and thought I’d post here to see if anyone else has run into this issue and if they’ve solved it.
