Without hearing that "crackling" noise for myself... It's going to be hard to say what it is My first thought is the weather strip sticking to your door. It's about the only thing I could think of that would make a "crackling" noise (or anything like it). There are several things you can do to keep that weather strip from sticking to your door. Some spray a rag with WD40 and wipe it on the weather strip, others use chapstick. Techs at my old dealership had a jar of Vaseline. I'd try that first and when you do, apply it lightly.
