does anyone know if I can swap the driver and passenger seats? Or the seat backs? I’ve worn through the cushion and there’s a bar that’s digging into my back.
I have not investigated this to verify, but usually it can't be done. Some cars have airbags embedded in the front seat backrests, and they are structured to inflate out on the outboard side near shoulder height. If you swap seats, they won't be in the right place to help. I don't know for certain whether the prius c has lateral airbags in the seat but you should verify before proceeding. Beyond that there are differences in the mounts and adjustment hardware which may preclude transfer. Take it to an auto upholstery shop- they can work wonders.
