Just wanted to let others know of a problem I resolved. For a while my driver's side mirror was producing a loud, high-pitched tone any time I got over 45 mph. It went away if I folded the mirror in, but that presented a dangerous driving condition. It turns out, there are 3 small clear decals covering some screws on the under-side of the mirror housing. Two of them had cracked and were letting just enough air in to cause the ear-piercing whistle. My solution was to completely remove the decal. I guess these decals are for protection? Aerodynamics? I'm not sure, but I've had my '05 since last April, so they only lasted about 10 months. - Ron '05 Black AI
