Hey guys. I posted here on Friday morning to tell everyone that my girlfriend and I purchased a 06 Prius. Well, tonight she was on her way home, and some guy was driving on the wrong side of the road. She had to curb the car or be hit head-on. I think she made the right choice, but the grass is wet here and she started to slide sideways a bit. She hit a light pole with the right rear door. It's not bad, but enough. Guy got away...he didn't even slow down. Anyways, have to take it to the body shop in the morning and see how much. Only had the car for 5 days....just wrong.
I'm sorry to hear about that, but I am glad that you two are safe. I have had that experience before with some guy driving the wrong way down a one way street. I hope that they are able to get your Prius fixed soon.
Thanks. I'm going to take it to the shop first thing in the morning. Luckily the dealers are all next to where I work, so I am just a walk away from the car.
You're right, I agree, that's just wrong! I'm glad your girlfriend is OK and only the hardware is damaged. As tough as having your 5-day old baby damaged, it could have been much worse. I hope the fool doesn't take anyone with him when he succeeds in offing himself. Other drivers are down right scary!
Ya, she seemed more upset that I'd be mad at her. Which was not the case. I already told her that for all we know he could be in a head-on with another car. But better metal damaged then humans
