DVD Navigation display & setup buttons problem

    On my 2010 Toyota Prius IV the DVD navigation setup and display buttons will sometimes not work properly. Instead of displaying the set up and display menus these buttons will act like up/down tuner buttons.

    I took a video showing this problem (see below)



    Note this issue does not always happen it only happens about 25% of the time.

    Has anybody seen this before or know what causes it? What is the solution to fix it?

    There have been other reports on here about this issue. IIRC the solution was to change out the Nav unit as it was failing. If this is the case you may be able to find a replacement from a wrecked vehicle.
