Luverne, Minn. — The price sign at the Pump 'N Pak convenience store in Luverne in southwest Minnesota grabs the eye. Regular gasoline sells for $2.09 a gallon. In fact all the fuels listed are over $2 a gallon except one. Manager Lila Sudenga says E85 is $1.54 a gallon. Dated 9-7-2006

according to my math (which could be wrong), your getting about the same amount of energy for the same price between regular and e85.
e85 is 85% ethanol, which is 30% less efficient for 25.5% less efficient per gallon.
so for e85 to be a better deal take regular * 0.745.
    2.099*0.745=1.563755
you'd be saving about $0.02 per gallon with e85 there. but it looks like a much a better deal!
(this does not account for regular being e10)
