Here is a massive Hg rectifier in action, it's for a railway. I could see using one as an art piece, except for all that elemental mercury. Looks cool lit up, but the amount of UV it must give off makes me wince. I once caught some glare from the UV bulb used for exposing printing plates; had a head ache for an hour afterwards. I'd rather have one of these to house my future EVSE in.
