So on my 2013 at least, I've noticed that if I leave the headlight switch turned to the parking light setting, the parking lights turn off when I turn the car off, and turn back on when I turn the car on the next time. The little oem bulbs are pretty anemic, though. So I put these in- $40 a pair. They fit fine, and even though they poke up at an angle, look ok too. Easy to install without taking anything apart. Probably not as bright as real DRLs, but maybe bright enough to make a difference. I just run the headlights in the same manner, just leave them on and they cycle with the car. Having something on prevents you from running without lights in the early evening when there are street lights adding visibility.
