Hi all, I just got a new RAV4 Prime SE. I also own a 2018 Volt. I have a question for the gurus here about efficiency Tracking: Of the many different efficiency tracking screens, is there a way to track the MPG of the gas engine alone? (I can't find one on my RAV Prime - but this is readily obtainable from my Volt): For example: I get into the RAV4P, and drive it 100 miles. The first 40 is all electric. The next 60 are HV operation. For the entire 100 miles, I use 1 gallon of gas. I understand that one way of looking at it is to say that I got 100MPG. (considering the electric powered distance). Another way is to say that I got 60 MPG (I went 60 miles for the 1 gallon of gas during the period of time that I used my vehicle as a "hybrid"). Is there a screen that will show me the 60 MPG? Or will they all display 100MPG? Is there any way (on the Prius Prime, as a comparison point) to ascertain the actual mileage relating to Hybrid operation? (i.e. the 60 MPG) Thanks Eric
I don't think display 60MPG (in the case you made) is a option, but later down the road you can have educated guesstimate by using percent of miles driven on electric. So: Your "60MPG" = overall history MPG * (100% - overall EV driving ratio) (you can EV driving ratio in the trip information, I attached a picture below.)
The Prius Prime can't track HV miles separately, and the software for the EV % is from the Prius. It counts all miles with the engine off as EV. Even if those engine off times are when in HV mode. I would assume the Rav4 Prime is the same until there is proof otherwise.
