Not our first thread on this I think. A new approach to use external wing surface as part of the battery itself seems intriguing: Axial stack battery design could unlock the era of supersonic electric airliners
One challenge is wings flex in flight. This mechanical motion risks causing gaps and local hot spots which could end badly. Bob Wilson
This puts me in mind of the '787' lithium ion battery boxes. Being melty is bad enough but worse if function includes providing lift.
