Performance is the goal, obviously, but I think the concept is extremely interesting since the body construction is of something I favor - carbon fiber sandwich construction using aluminum honeycomb as the core material. One better might be balsa wood as a core material. Thanks to this site and this one.
The extended range was stated as 250 miles. What they didn't state, but I read at another site, was the price of $300,000. It makes the Tesla a buy at $98,000.
