I know there is a lot of discussion of EBH in the Prius forum, but there isn't one here, so I want put the question out, since this is my first hybrid. 1. Does EBH help in the cold Canadian weather? (0 or lower) 2. Does it help for short trip or long trips? 3. How difficult it is to install yourself? It's over 200 at dealer vs 60 from Priuschat shop. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Yes. It's mainly helpful for those shorter trips, works wonders! It is a pain to install, can't imagine it's easier on the C! Read the threads on installing and see if that's something you think you can handle, otherwise go to the dealer.
I'm kinda surprised that it isn't a standard dealer installed option in Canada, like window tinting in hot sunny states! Maybe the dealer is a nice one and will discount the price... Nah!
