There's a bolt attached to the frame on the left front side (when you are facing the hood) that holds the air cleaner inlet. Is there supposed to be a nut that goes with that bolt? If not, how does the air cleaner inlet get held in place to that bolt? I was doing some cleaning and I might have lost the part that secures the air cleaner inlet to that bolt. The ring from the inlet is currently just slotted into the bolt and I think it's causing some rattling noises when I drive. The air cleaner inlet that I am talking about is 17750-37010. I also attached some photos of the bolt I'm referring to (one with the bolt on and another with the bolt taken out).
Put that bracket from the intake snorkel above the sheet metal instead of below, and put the bolt through it.
About every second time I've reinstalled that air intake snorkel, it's bracket ends up under where it's supposed to be over. You can just cajole it up-and-over, carry on.
The threads for the bolt are on the frame. You can see them on the 2nd photo. That piece holds the air intake hose and the bracket for the coolant hose.
Thanks everyone for helping! I just moved the bracket above the frame, and as Mendel said I was able to move it out from under without needing to take out the other two bolts that hold the intake piece in place. I don't know why it didn't cross my mind to put the plastic above the frame .
