Today morning my car engine had rattle sound at the start. I tried starting twice for few seconds the rattle sound came (could be engine miss fire). Then after couple of hours when I tried again the sound didn't come. Here are few things I observed. 1) Today morning the temperature was around 35 degrees Fahrenheit. 2) A week before I found there was water (neither oil nor small, so assuming here it is waster) leak from car front on the ground when parked overnight. After that I didn't any leak again. Is this sign of any major repair work coming my way?
First you want to make sure you have good plugs and all of your coils and everything are firing correctly and you have no misfire codes because of bad coils or plugs You kind of need to know this You can test coils and all that with a voltmeter on the right settings there should be test posted all over the internet for testing coilover plug setup. Once you know that's good then go back to the next morning and see if you get the rattle If you do your next move is to borrow an inspection camera if you can take the windshield wiper tray out and remove the plugs and coils look down into the cylinders and see if that the head gasket area block meeting the head You see any droplets of what looks to be moisture water If so well you know what you got an engine job coming Head gasket job at minimum. The rattling if you keep allowing it at startup eventually it's going to rattle your center section into pieces essentially so be careful.
