been lurking for a long time, just made an acct to post (yayy) my 2015 prius is a hunk of problems. i asked reddit and they pretty much all suggested replacing the engine. heres the thread (oh man i cant link. its in r/askmechanics "poor college kid begging for help 2015 toyota prius"). if anyone wants to share their opinion as well. more heads help yknow. anyway, i dont know anything about anything when it comes to engines. is it better to take my current one and see about rebuilding (is an original japanese engine afaik) or look into buying a lower mileage one (mines at 215k). ive heard people put in gen 4 instead of 3 due to some resolved issues, is that something to look into as well? if anyone knows any good people to go to in phoenix, az, thatd be helpful too. thanks all!
