Hi. I've got a 2010 gen 3 T spirit with 196000 miles on it. Mostly it runs like new. The engine shaking and knocking only happens occasionally either cold or hot. I'm not getting any codes show up. I've replaced the coils, spark plugs, and injectors. I've cleaned the entire manifold, throttle body and egr cooler and also cleaned the sensors and have fitted an oil catch can. I'm not losing oil or coolant and the oil filler cap and dip stick are normal. I've ordered a borascope to check down the spark plug holes, but I'm at a loss now. The progression is: Exhaust Gas Recirculation system clogs, head gasket starts leaking. If the EGR is then cleaned, it doesn’t reverse the head gasket failure. Yeah leak down test.
