I have a 2017 Prius 4 Touring that just had the 10K service; oil change and tire rotation. I notice immediately that the engine sounds like it is working hard when accelerating. My mpg has drop from 50'ish to around 40. I've double check the oil level and it is fine and new. This is 4 days after the 10K service at the Toyota dealer. Has anyone experience this? When I write working hard, I can hear the engine sound like it is grinding harder than before the 10K service. The Bridgestone Ecopia Run Flats are a joke for noise. But I can heard the difference. If this does not change in the next few days, I am going back to the dealer.
Is that just autocorrect playing silly beggars?? Anyway, speaking of tires, were you running higher pressures, and maybe they dropped them to spec?
Are brakes sticking? Definitely check tire pressures. When I had my 5k service the paperwork said the tires were set at 32 Fortunately they were at s more reasonable 38. I did my 10K oil change myself
Maybe when they rotated the tires, they changed sides (left to right, cross rotate) and now the tread is running in the opposite direction. This may cause additional "drag" changing the noise level and lowering MPG. Happened to me once when I put snow tires on in the wrong direction of rotation (different from first year). Made a huge difference.
