This Japanese ad for the Toyota Prius Plug In is beyond confusing I thought it was hilarious, like many Japanese game shows. I don't think it will get anyone to buy the car though, who knows with the weird grandpa having the AKB48 CD and the humans plugging in for food, it may keep people from buying them. My question. If toyota simply stopped all the bad ads for prius family, would sales go up?
I liked the weird ads. Not that they would influence me towards buying one, I just like weird stuff. I does help explain the weird Corporate ads US Toyota puts out and why the Texas dealers ads are more conventional here in the US. Thanks for the post Austingreen.
My japanese is bad, but I think the pilot calls him his sister. Its definitely a guy, but one that probably likes dressing like a woman and being called one.
I've a better idea. Picture this, Godzilla walking around, tearing up Tokyo again, and he trips over the EVSE and pulls it out of the wall socket. He then bends over and plugs the cable back in and when he stands up, there's a tear in the corner of his eye. "The Toyota PHV, because he cares".
A guy riding a stationary bike, day in, day out, day after day. Eventually it's revealed the bike is attached to a generator. He gets off the bike, wipes his brow, then walks across his garage to unplug his Prius. He gets in and drives away. The written line at the end says, " それだけの価値はあります." ("It's worth it")
