Have new (well 5 months) Prius 2017. Finally downloaded all the "updates" to Entune.... And it looks like iPhone isn't supported for messaging and calling? I receive messages fine, car reads them out great, even my rechage pad works fairly well. But I can't dictate (or respond to) a text message, which would really be the helpful thing. I've read back in the forum for help and I see posts on older phones from a few years ago that messaging doesn't work--maybe only doesn't work with Bluetooth? This seems pretty crazy to have the latest car and a brand new phone and to be missing such a basic thing. Am I missing something? thanks!!! edit to say: i don't see any functionality with Entune as an apple owner. Should I delete it from my phone?
I think messaging works with Android and e-mail works with Apple. It's one or the other (as far as we know).
My salesman suggested I didn't bother with Entune. He said that my Android would read messages aloud anyway without it - so I didn't, and it does read them. I haven't tried with a reply - they can wait.
Forget Entune - it sucks. Use Siri to read aloud messages, and via Siri you can respond to them. Just hold down the phone thing on the steering wheel. When a new message comes in say to Siri "read new messages". It will prompt you to respond. Or say "text Joe Blow".
