Just discovered something interesting: Entunes (Pandora) will continue to run in the background on my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.0.1) after I go back to the springboard and onto another app. This was a surprise since I had tried it when I first got the car and it did not work. I was on iOS 4 at that time so maybe that has something to do with it.
Try this. Compare the difference is sound quality on pandora going through entune, and then try it just going through Bluetooth. On mine, the sound quality is noticeably superior through Bluetooth. iPad ?
Have you changed the setting for Pandora in the Entunes app to "Higher Quality Audio"? This makes a significant difference. I'll also try going directly through bluetooth to compare as well. We should also try to plug in with the headphone jack and see if that makes a difference.
I'm not sure now. I originally had it on high quality but it was not on when I just checked. I haven't used entune in awhile. I just check every now and then to see if I can use entune without being wired to the USB. When and if that happens I will use it. iPad ?
I tried going directly from Pandora via bluetooth and did not notice any difference in sound quality. Kind of hard to tell though since it plays a different song. I suspect the difference you noticed was due to the sound quality setting. Running through the headphone jack may improve things but it would not matter to me since I would not give up the convenience of Entune anyway.
I think you've hit upon it. It's iOS 5 working for you. I stream iTunes and Pandora thru Bluetooth on my home stereo while browsing on Safari or reading on the Kindle app. It's really nice. - Chris
