My car needed a diagnostic to find out what was wrong with it. Apparently the mechanics also removed the battery. Now the navigation screen/audio deck is locked. I was told this code is needed to unlock it. Please help me. I own a 2013 Toyota Prius
welcome! wow, never saw anything like that before. which battery did they remove? dealer, or private mechanic?
Have you tried to enter that code? Looks like you have verify the code by entering it in the second box. I would assume that the two boxes to the lower right are “YES” and “No”, or something to that effect.
I have to ask ... are you sure that isn't some aftermarket head unit? I've never seen anything in a Gen 3 Prius that looked like that from the factory.... -Chap
From a Google search, this seems to be a fairly common problem, and I see you—or someone with the same picture you posted—already asked about this in another forum, where a user (in post #1298 on October 22) offered a downloadable program to calculate the code from the sixteen-digit value shown on the ERC Input Screen (ERC入力画面). Have you tried using this program? (Press 完了 after entering the code.) It’s a Toyota NSZT-W62G, sold only in Japan. The user’s manual (PDF) is available on toyota.jp.
It’s the one I linked in my posting: ERC Unlock code for Japanese Toyota Navigation Systems - In-Car Entertainment (ICE) - PakWheels Forums
