I have noticed that my estimated range after fill ups has dropped after the last three fill ups. I used to get around 520 miles after fill up. The last three have been in the 480 miles range.

    Any reason or explanation?

The Prius computer has determined based on your driving pattern and style, you'll only get 480 miles now. It'll keep adjusting and will eventually be pretty accurate.

If you unhook the 12 volt battery, it will go back to making poor guesses until it learns your actual behavior again.

Has your displayed MPG also fallen? In many climate zones, it should fall as winter approaches, and the full tank range estimate should fall along with it.
