New GR SPORT Gives Toyota RAV4 The Edge For 2023 the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and RAV4 PHEV get a stiffer setup to allow a more sporty drive. Sticks to 19" wheels but not sure how a mostly front wheel drive SUV will become sporty to drive. It's not like Toyota added a manual, but as Toyota has said in the past they want their hybrid lineup to be more performance oriented. Then again, the GR Sport treatment is offered on a limited number of vehicles and Europe is a smaller market. Europe gets all the cool cars. If I was on twitter I'd make that a handle, .
Looks very similar to our RAV4 Prime XSE except for the wheels. I guess Europe didn't get that body finish before? GR Sport is just an appearance package. I believe Toyota has 3 tiers - GR Sport, GR and GRMN in increasing performance/track capability.
