The paragraph next to the red Toyota has a headline "Surprisingly silent." Hybrid Synergy Drive can even run on electric motor only.... I guess that gives it away as not a US ad. They also reference a website I hadn't seen yet that also is obviously also not meant for the US market. www.hybridsynergydrive.com I've read a lot of discussions on PC concerning EV mode not being available in US. I wonder why they don't offer it as at least an option in US. I am very interested in EV mod but I am unconvinced that in US it would not void our warranty. gb
Something similar appeared as a TV ad on ITV (London) last night. It was a movie of the same car. I didn't see the whole thing but I don't think it mentioned Prius - just plugged HSD. Personally I don't like the car painted with HSD badges. The image would be inclined to put me off rather than appeal to me and if I were a newcomer I would not understand what it was saying.
