Hey guys, So I've had my 2018 Prius Prime for about 5 months now. I live in Canada where the weather is cold so I am used to the range reduction in the cold weather. That said, today was warm, and my range dropped MAJORLY. I usually get anywhere from 20-25 miles.. but today it only went about 6 miles before the battery was exhausted (it read 100% after charging). I knew there was a problem, when, even before leaving the parking lot at work (maybe like 50 yards) it was down like 4% . Has anyone had this? Is there a setting I accidentally switched on when changing the clock today? Is the battery failing? I will obviously re-test it tomorrow but wondering if anyone has had anything similar. Appreciate the help. Todd
Are you using the scheduled charging feature that can be caught off guard (I’m guessing) by daylight savings time? Never mind. It would not report %100 charged if scheduled charging cut the session short. Looking forward to hearing how it goes next charge cycle.
No I wasn’t using a schedule because when I’m at work I just need it to charge. It read fully charged 100% then dropped FAST. Anyways today it was totally normal 25 miles each way. No idea what was up yesterday.
It functioned totally normal again today both to and from work. Still have no idea what happened that one time..
Yeah, GOM 6 miles on full charge must be some kind of glitch. My lowest has been ~20miles on GOM, I don't think I have seen teens or less.
