Pah! I bet Justin would do 450 miles just driving around (and around and around......)the Sacramento airport if he a Tesla S.
Congrats to him on the world record for distance and especially butt endurance but that's not even doubling the EPA estimate of the S. There have been a couple of volt owners who've done that (70+miles/EPA 35) and I've come very close (62.5miles) while driving in hilly terrain and too fast at 30-45mph.
25 miles an hour for 17 hours to get 400+ miles on one charge... good grief! Still, I would love to have one.
At first I was really amazed by this. Then I realized he drove around at 25mph. Not very realistic in the real world.
How many Guinness book of world records are? ;-) It is still fun to see what can be done, and I am sure we will see people trying to beat it.
If it meant breaking a record I would totally do it. Although 25mph avg speed is even slower than my 35mph pulse & glide average speed. EEK! Still, it makes my 109mpg look weak. LOL
