My Prius Alpha 2015 has exhaust smell at the first start in the morning during cold. Here not very cold. Only 10-20°C. The smell last only 1-2 minutes and not found inside the car. Is it normal at the cold? What is your experience?
Park the car facing the opposite direction if possible. See if there is still a smell... REVVL V+ 5G ?
Its engine normally start after moving from the garage. First few minutes it ran on battery. So this smell found outside of garage and mostly near the tail pipe.
Then why do you care ? Yes, likely normal for the actual exhaust to look and smell slightly different when started cold. The fuel mixture will be slightly richer and the catalytic converter will be cold and not doing much.
