(AOL Autos) -- Some car companies just can't leave well enough alone. After all, if you have the best-selling car eight of the past nine years, have projections to sell 420,000 more next year and your new model has won just about every automotive award available, except the Indy 500 Milk Bottle, why would you place the engineering equivalent of a graffiti mustache on it? Toyota has three reasons for creating a new hybrid version of their wildly popular Camry. Did they say 40/38 EPA? And they got 34MPG claiming that's "generous enough"? I'll take it!! Beats the crap out of my wife's 24MPG Buick.
lol. Hmm.. the Camry doesn't have reclining rear seats. It's the XLE model that gets it. 8 secs isn't that bad actually. That matches the performance of the old 3.0 litre V6 in 0-60 times.
i see them all the time .. .both those and the prius. awesome cars. i want the hybrid with the upgraded audio system.
So have they fixed the boxy protrusion in the trunk for the traction drive batteries? At least to the point where it makes sense to be able to fold down the left back seat?

Oddly enough, I've test driven it 3 times and never once thought I about trying out the audio system . (it was with different people so I had to shown them the features each time). Ou 02 XLE with the JBL sounded quite good (better than the Prius actually).
