My Temp tags expired last month and I still haven't picked up my tags from the dealership. I'm planning to do it this thursday. If I get in an accident (my fault or not), would there be any problems with the expired temp tags?
That sounds pretty risky depending on what state you are driving in/accident occurred. In Florida you will at least get a citation for expired temp tag.
What you are asking falls almost entirely under state law, and we do not know which state you are in, so there is not much anyone (but you) can do. Perhaps you could update your profile to mention which state you are in.

I've had my car for 3 weeks now and I'm still waiting for my plates and registration to come. Hope they come before next week because I'm going on a road trip haha
The tags are expired....get yourself to the dealership and pick them up soonest. I see people in DC metro area driving on dead tags all the time but if you get stopped or worse in an accident they can only work with what is front of them at the time.
