Hopefully some of you prius experts out there can help me. I have a 2010 III with nav and moonroof. I was wanting to add the sunglass holder that is on the IV and V but cannot find anything on the forum about this. Anyone have any experience with this, or any ideas if it would be compatible to install if I were able to find the PN from Toyota for the assembly? Thanks...
Because of the solar roof option, it's not present and cannot be added to that area of the overhead console. So it's not just IV and V models with it, but all models. It's the sunroof/solar which takes it away. It's a very small thing people have to give up to get the sunroof/solar option.
You're not missing much. I have the IV and the sunglasses holder won't hold my Oakleys. :mmph: It's not very deep so I keep an extra pair of reading glasses in it. Just like the sunvisors - why couldn't Toyota figured out they need to be larger?!
So where are you all stashing your sunglasses? I've been putting my Oakleys in the tray under the shifter, but looking for a better solution.
The stock upper sunglass holder is really small, my Oakleys don't fit either. I tried keeping them under the bridge but the carpet is so hard that they slide around too much. My solution was to cut some black cupboard foam mesh in the same shape as the carpet. I just put it on top of the stock carpet, no glue needed because it's super grippy. It keeps the glasses from sliding around.
